HelpMall is a trusted digital marketplace that connects homeowners and businesses with verified domestic and event service providers. Whether you need a maid, a caregiver, or an event usher — HelpMall takes the guesswork out of hiring by bringing verification, contracts, and payments into one secure platform.
THE QUICK READ
What I built: End-to-end product design for a digital service marketplace — three distinct user experiences: clients hiring staff, contractors finding work, and admins managing the platform.
THE PROBLEM
Hiring a maid, a caregiver, or an event usher in Nigeria still works the way it did twenty years ago — through referrals, phone calls, and a lot of hoping for the best.
Pricing is never clear upfront. Providers are unverified. The back-and-forth before a hire is exhausting. And on the provider side — skilled workers with no structured way to reach clients, no formal contracts, no payment protection.
The insight that changed everything: the problem wasn't just about connecting two sides. It was about building enough trust between them that both sides felt safe enough to transact.
