Description
Sending money, managing your balance, and tracking transactions — all in one place, all built to feel effortless. Designed for users who want their finances to work as quickly as they do.
THE QUICK READ
This is a UI exploration — not a client project. Built to push my visual design thinking, test a design system in a high-stakes product category, and answer one question:
"What does a fintech app look like when trust and clarity lead every decision?"
THE PROBLEM
Fintech apps carry a unique design burden — users are trusting them with their money. A confusing flow, an unclear label, or a UI that feels cheap doesn't just frustrate — it breaks trust entirely.
For example, the gap between what these apps promise and how they actually feel to use is enormous.
DESIGN DIRECTION
Visual language: Confident minimalism — clean without feeling empty. Every element earns its place.
What I was trying to avoid: Dark mode for the sake of it. Gradients that look impressive but obscure hierarchy. Charts that show data without helping users understand it.
What I was trying to achieve: A UI that makes users feel in control. Where balance, transactions, and actions are always one tap away and always easy to read.

KEY SCREENS
01 - ONBOARDING
The onboarding experience for Paywise is designed to communicate value while establishing trust and clarity quickly. With a clean layout, minimal copy, and friendly illustrations, each screen introduces users to the app’s core benefits before they dive into the product.

02 - LOGIN & SIGN UP
For Paywise, the goal was to create a seamless and friendly onboarding experience that makes account creation effortless and inviting. The “Login & Sign Up” screen welcomes users with a warm headline and a clean layout, prompting them to create an account to unlock exclusive features and updates.

03 — HOME
The Paywise home screen offers a clear view of your balance, account number, and recent transactions. Quick action buttons like “Add Money” and “Transfer” make daily tasks effortless. Smart shortcuts provide instant access to essential services like bill payments and withdrawals. With a clean layout and personalized greeting, managing your money feels easy and intuitive.

04 — Transfers
Enter who you're sending to, how much, and confirm. Every field earns its place — nothing extra, nothing missing. The send flow was designed around one principle: the fewer decisions a user has to make, the more confident they feel making them. Recipient details up top, amount input centred and large, confirmation one tap away. Fast, clear, and frictionless from start to finish.

REFLECTIONS
What this exploration taught me:
UI is strategy, not decoration. Every visual choice in a fintech app either builds or erodes user confidence. Colour, spacing, typography weight — these aren't aesthetic preferences. They're trust signals.
Constraints make better design. Designing a financial product means your UI can never be ambiguous. An unclear button label on a social app is annoying. On a payment screen, it's a reason to abandon. That constraint sharpened every decision.
